Earlier in the week, Danelle and I were at Lowes and came across some extremely discounted flooring. Sonora has wanted a wood floor in her room for a while, so we decided to give it a go. We started Friday night ripping out all of the existing carpet in her room. Then we had to … Continue reading “Sonora’s New Floor – 12/2/2017”
There were lots of photos of Coatrack this month. I’ll only make you look at one 🙂 There were some abnormally warm days and I ended up in a sleeveless shirt after a walk with the family. Danelle deemed it “No Sleeve November”. And of course, lots of unicycle riding! Hogan Haake
Hannah likes the St.Louis Blues and wants to see them in person. So we got tickets so she could see a game in person. As an added bonus, my mom came in town with her. I wasn’t going to let mom miss a good time, so we had lots of parallel plans to keep us … Continue reading “Mom and Hannah in STL – 11/4/2017”
We went to a party at the Saint Louis University Biology department to carve pumpkins with Danelle’s fellow students. We all had a good time and the pumpkins turned out well. The food provided was a perfect distraction to keep the kids happy as well. Hogan Haake
Sonora wanted a different color for her room, so we needed to paint it. While we didn’t get before and after photos (pink to white), we did capture some of the antics! Hogan Haake

Jonathan pointed out that he would have performed more finishing work on the deck if we wanted. … Continue reading “Waterfall Deck – 9/17/2017”
Usually Hogan is the one who takes epic voyages on the Missouri River. This time, on September 23-27, 2017, I got to take our Kruger Cruiser on Paddle Mo – a 5 day, 100 mile journey from Hermann, Missouri, to the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. I am on the board of the … Continue reading “Paddle Mo 2017”
Another good unicycling month even including the family. I also caught the awards ceremony for the MR340, cheering on my friends! It wouldn’t be a little adventure with some adversity. On my ride home, the throttle cable on the motorcycle broke on the highway. It was a bit of a close call coasting to a … Continue reading “August – 2017”
Danelle and I normally participate in Race For The Rivers each year. This year, we made a prior commitment that happened on the same day, Operation Clean Stream. We took a canoe and paddled down the Meramec River from Greentree to George Winter park, picking up trash along the way. As you can see from … Continue reading “Operation Clean Stream – 8/26/2017”
