I’ve been a big proponent of office pranks my whole career. As long as the person you’re pranking has a high likelihood of enjoying being pranked and that you do no damage to anybody’s property or person. Earlier this year, I took a screen shot of my boss Erwin during a meeting. I sent it to be printed and I now have a full 80×80 inch shower curtain with his image on it. Don’t worry, I use shower curtains as my zoom background.
Knowing that Erwin is okay with pranks, I employed the help of my sweet daughter Sonora. Sonora was the main driver of this prank as she was about to leave for college. She purchased 144 balloons and proceeded to inflate most of them in Erwin’s office!
I was able to get several other co-workers that were in the office to blow up a balloon and be part of it themselves. I’ll redact their names to protect them 🙂
Sonora enjoyed every second of this knowing what the reaction would be!
It took about a week and a half before Erwin was able to get back into the office to his surprise. We had to look at his office and not say anything so he didn’t know about it before showing up. Unfortunately, I missed the moment he saw it, but he enjoyed it! The picture below was put on our company chat.
