The electric is getting close. 95% of everything is in place. Today we walked through the house room by room looking at the location of switches, outlets, and lights. The goal was to make sure that everything was as expected or to request a change. For the most part, planning went well and most things were where they needed to be.
Some of the things we adjusted and why.
* We have a heat lamp in the master bath. Why, cause I like being warm in the winter time. The idea is for when you step out of the shower on a cold morning, you’re not shivering. The lamp wasn’t positioned for right outside of the shower. It seems small, but we’re moving it about 15 inches.
* We’re putting a pool table in on the main floor. The can lights needed to be adjusted to fit the table dimensions. We put tape on the floor to represent the table and then marked the rafters where we wanted the lights to go.
* We noticed a missing dedicated outlet for the electric fireplace in the sun room.
* in our living room, we planned on 6 can lights. After being in the room with the lights in place, we realized that one of the can lights would be right in front of the TV causing a glare. We had the 2 matching lights removed and one of the cans moved to a nearby location.
* There were a few missing outlets per our discussion that we pointed out. Now we wait for the adjustments and go from there.
