I drug Corvin out for his longest unicycle ride ever on the MRT (just over 8 miles). We probably walked a mile, but it was still worth it to spend time with him and get better riding. Just after the half way point, we switched with me on the 29″ and Corvin on my 36″. … Continue reading “Mississippi River Trail with Corvin – 9/7/2017”
Another good unicycling month even including the family. I also caught the awards ceremony for the MR340, cheering on my friends! It wouldn’t be a little adventure with some adversity. On my ride home, the throttle cable on the motorcycle broke on the highway. It was a bit of a close call coasting to a … Continue reading “August – 2017”
I took the kids out to Grant’s trail for a quick evening ride. Corvin got some time on the 36″ unicycle. We had a great time! Hogan Haake
It has been a while since I last brought my unicycle into the office. There were several new people that might be interested in trying it out. Let the fun begin! They did okay, but I don’t think any of them are going to pursue it any farther. Hogan Haake
I was going to KC to pick up Sonora after a week with her cousins. I got the bright idea to leave early and ride on the Katy Trail in Boonville, MO. So I jumped out of work early and packed up getting on the road quickly. I was in Boonville before I knew it … Continue reading “Katy Trail Boonville, MO – 7/7/2017”
Corvin and I went out for a unicycle ride on the Katy Trail. We didn’t set any distance or time records, but we did spend time together. I like hearing Corvin talk about his life and the things that interest him. He even got up on the big unicycle for a bit. While he can … Continue reading “Katy Trail with Corvin – 7/6/2017”
I’ve switched 100% to the 36″ unicycle. The only way to get better is to go out and ride it. Today I went out to the River Des Peres trail to ride as its rather flat. I got some cool shadow photos while I was riding. Shortly after, I managed to wreck and cut my … Continue reading “Unicycle Fail – 6/20/2017”
This was a week that started off bad and only got better! Danelle was going out of town for a girls 40th birthday party week and that left the kids and I to hang out. After thinking of lots of ideas of what to do with the kids, I decided to visit my sister Holly … Continue reading “Holly Week – 6/10/2017”
We decided to have a family bike trip. OK, Corvin was not there, but Danelle and Sonora were. I picked Cliff cave cause it has a nice flat lower section and though it would be nice and easy for all of us. The first thing I noticed when I came into the park was that … Continue reading “Cliff Cave Park Ride – 5/30/2017”
Corvin and I went out for a unicycle ride on Grant’s trail. He’s gotten good enough on the unicycle that I gave him my 29″ unicycle and told him I would just ride the 36″ one now. Not only is he excited, he is FAST! Hogan Haake
