Barbre Park Paddle – 4/30/2017
With the massive amount of rain that came down, a mini lake formed in Barbre park. Where there is water, I’m there to paddle. So I went out and met Danelle and Corvin to paddle for a bit. Hogan Haake

Danelle had a booth at Earth Day this year. It was an advocacy booth to educate people on chloride. Danelle spent time showing people bugs from a local creek and explaining how a small amount of road salt could compromise their lives. Then she offered a holiday ornament, a piece of paper, to remind people … Continue reading “Earth Day – 4/22/2017”
We were going to the Cardinals game to see Sonora sing the national anthem with the Avery Spotlight Singers. Laura is now living downtown so we invited her to join us. We started by parking in her garage and checking out her new place. Eventually, we went over to the stadium to see Sonora sing. … Continue reading “Cardinals Game with Laura – 4/18/2017”
My office closed down a small side business. All of the remaining inventory was offered to the employees first to do whatever they want with. One of the things that I picked up was a model of a Chinese building. I know that Danelle likes building these kind of things. So here is the completed … Continue reading “Burning a Model – 4/16/2017”
We met Danelle’s family at Kirkwood Park for an Easter picnic. They reserved a small area and we hauled a bunch of stuff in to have lunch together. I met a cyber friend from Twitter and the 100 Missouri Miles website on Grant’s Trail today. Joseph Brown stopped and asked if I was Hogan. So we chatted a bit. On the unicycle, I’m a bit easier … Continue reading “March 2017”
Solar power has become our thing. We have it on our house, and now we’re getting ready to add it to Waterfall. I used the expertise of my coworker, Eric Ent, who just put a similar system in at his parent’s house. We have a 400 watt Renogy system. Initially I wanted to put the … Continue reading “Solar Panel Prep – 3/19/2017”
Sonora was making a stress ball using two balloons, one stuffed inside of the other and filling them with flour. Danelle was helping her. I was not… I may have gotten flour on Sonora. Of course no good deed goes unpunished… Hogan Haake
I’ve been to Mardi Gras too many times, and this is just one more. I’m the bridge between two groups that all come together to get drunk and walk the streets. This year, Hanna’s friend Jen came to join our crew. The first step is always getting in costume. After the pink suit I wore … Continue reading “St. Louis Mardi Gras – 2/25/2017”
