Utility Update – 4/22/2026

When I work out at the property, I work in my “creepy shed“. I’ve done this for the duration of the project. Last week, my inverter started having issues and would shut off after short use. This would make it nearly impossible to work. I ordered and received a new larger inverter that I expect will take me through the completion of construction. I arrived early and swapped out inverters. Out with 1,000 watts and in with 2,000 watts of pure sine wave energy!

It was a relief when it was all installed. This new one is much larger and I had to move parts around, but I am satisfied. I’m also a fan because this one has the option to just start when the red power breaker is turned. Previously, I had to start it and then press another button to say start the inverter. This one has a setting and the same device (below), but I don’t need it. A true upgrade to me.

The electric is mostly installed, but we’re waiting on more. This is where the box will go with all the wires.

Also of note is the ground is marked where the water company plans to put the meter. I took photos and sent them to the plumber to save a trip and let them know it was marked. We should have water soon!

Two other pieces of housekeeping, I mowed today and while I was at it, retrieved three very large stumps from a neighbor’s tree that was cut up after it fell. We’ll use these for seating around the fire. It was maximum effort to get them in the trailer and moved.

Finally and also very exciting, we got our first piece of mail in the box!!!

Renewal By Anderson does need to work on their marketing. We are still under construction and don’t need new windows currently…
