Our septic vendor was right on time and didn’t mess around. They came in and laid down wood to protect the ground and then started digging a hole. First, they freed up the foundation to attach to the house.
With the house attached, the pipe was run to our Norweco system. Okay first they had to put it in the ground.
And once buried, there are just 3 green caps for servicing the unit.
Finally, they will clear out a 100′ run through the woods for the field to drain the tank out. Its one of the few projects that is fully complete and we’re happy for it to be ready. Actually, I take that back. Look close at the photo above and on the left most green cap, there is a bunch of wire. I got a phone call a few days after the install. It turns out the system comes with a 2 year service contract. The company servicing the unit wants to come out about 2 weeks before we move in. The middle chamber of the tank requires an aerator to accelerate the breakdown of the waste. The warranty starts the day it is installed. That means they don’t want to install it until close to when we’ll start using it. This means we just need to call before we move in for them to install the last piece. The wire is for electric to power it. But its all paid for, meaning its technically finished.
