We had a functioning construction fence that kept our dirt out of the street. Over time, it has just been ruined/used by the dirt piling against it. Its now flowing over blocking the drain in the street. We make occasional fixes, but really want the construction company to come fix the fence.There is actually a metal grate under the dirt that can’t drain this area currently.
Ohh, and did I mention framing? Its finally happening. Lumber has been delivered to the property!
Of course, I could go to the nearby lumber yard if I wanted to just see wood piled up. Some of the structural walls have been placed in the basement.
It doesn’t look like much, but we’re jumping for joy that things are changing and moving! Here it is from the other side were they are framing the whole side.
It doesn’t quite look like a house, but there is more promise of things to come. A line has been run to show level as they prepare to put up the iron beams that will be the main support of the house.
With this up, there won’t be much stopping them from building out the house. Did I mention that progress feels wonderful yet? Of course, we’re a bit disappointed by the trash left by the framers. We’ll ask the construction company to bring a trash can, its almost understandable without having one available.
We’re looking forward to providing more updates with the house taking shape!
