Danelle, Sonora, and I packed up the car and headed up to La Crosse, Wisconsin to see Corvin graduate college. He was going to graduate with 2 majors in 4 years, quite the accomplishment. We arrived and quickly checked into our VRBO. Other than the creepy dead animal theme, it was acceptable.
It didn’t take long before it was time and Corvin got all dressed up to graduate. A photo at the tower before going across the stage.
The graduation ceremony was held at the La Crosse Center and it was packed with graduates!
I promise he’s in the photo. It always starts exciting, then you hear your graduate and wait for all the other names to be called wondering if it’ll ever be over. Promptly after the ceremony, Sonora and I took off to Chipotle to pick up our catered dinner. We met the family and friends back at the rental house to eat outside on the lovely day!
Eventually the party broke up and people went home. It was awesome of Madison’s family to come in from Green Bay to celebrate Corvin.
Amongst all the official actions, we found time to go for a family hike up on the bluffs. Corvin and Sonora managed to give me a minor heart attack climbing down towards the cliff’s edge.
Along with graduating, it was also time to leave La Crosse. We spend a few hours putting Corvin’s possessions in a U-Haul trailer to pull home the next day. We tried to take Corvin with us, but he was staying a few extra days.
