An Expected But Welcome Update, We’re [sub]floored = 9/7/2024

We left the last update with some partial framing in the basement. Those walls were the load bearing walls. We needed those, to get the joists and sub floor laid. When we came back today, we found just that!

One of the things we really liked and it was just by accident, was having our name stamped on the joists. I know its just for delivery, but its meaningful to us!

Taking the wider view from the walk out side of the basement.

We’ve been told that once framing starts, houses are often mostly framed in 2-3 weeks. You’ll see a crazy amount of progress, then the majority of the construction is hidden on the inside where work continues. We’re looking forward to seeing our house appear as we can make visits to see it.

Sadly, not everything at the house is rainbows. We are still concerned about the cracks in the basement floor. It needs to stop soon!

Looking forward to sharing more exciting progress soon!
