Ameren Illinois came to the house today to install our power! I’ve been waiting a very long time to get real power in the house. Its been wired and ready to go for a little while. They had to add a transformer on our pole, but I don’t mind.
Next was a long trench.
The trench came around the corner and up the conduit into our electrical box. Its the left most conduit, the right two lines are going to the boxes in the back of the house.
Unfortunately, that white PVC is the clean out for our septic that also comes out of the foundation in the same place. It was a tight fit, but it all did fit. I was also impressed with this crew. I believe they have been the cleanest crew to work at my house. After they finished, the trench was covered well and I don’t remember seeing any garbage left. Its a very low bar, but they are the first people in my project to treat my property as their own!
Once they finished, we have 400 amp service to the house, and only one working outlet. Now we just need the electritian to come back out and wire up more outlets, switches, and lights!
