It was bittersweet to come to our last high school track and field award ceremony. This was our sixth time coming to this ceremony. Sonora was also full of mixed emotions as this was the end of her high school track career. Of her 4 years, it was her third year being the captain of the girls throwing team. We were quite proud of her leadership.

Sonora with three of her four coaches. Its awesome that two of her former coaches made a point to come and be in a photo with her. One is retired and the other teaches/coaches at another district!
The last and most notable thing is that Sonora was chosen as the female Statesman of the Year! This is the highest award a lady can receive from the track team.
