Goodbye to a Friend – 12/31/2022

Back in March of 2018, I purchased a new Suzuki V-Strom 650 from a dealer with zero miles on it. I spent almost five years making memories with this motorcycle. I finally realized I’ve scratched my motorcycling itch and am ready to move on to other things in my life. I put the motorcycle up for sale and today a gentleman came and purchased it from me.

One of the few benefits of COVID is that vehicles hold their value more. How much more? The new owner paid me $600 more than the price I purchased it for almost 5 years earlier. I wish every deal I did was this good for me.

Before you go jumping up and down that you can do the same, I did add several parts to the motorcycle including tires. Overall, I spent more on it that I got paid, but that is also added value. I handed over all my riding gear and have no motorcycle stuff left at my house.

I’ll keep my motorcycle endorsement in case I change my mind in the future. For now, I’m quite satisfied.
