Our year started off in Argentina. We’ve spent a ton of times with the kids and now our schedule is letting up some. Our favorite football team, KC Chiefs, are in the playoffs. Sonora was sounding a bit lonely and we decided to surprise her. We drove down to Springfield to pick her up and watch the Chiefs game with her. We had been to a local place that had a good vibe and played the game. We called Sonora and told her from the car we were coming. She was delighted.
Once we picked her up, we went straight to the restaurant. Unfortunately for us, there are many other fans that took all the fantastic seating. All they had room for was out in the “headed” patio. You can see below by what Danelle is wearing that heated is a bit of a joke.
The wind came under the awning. I’m guessing it was close to 50F while we ate and watched the game.
Somehow the Chiefs pulled out a miracle win and it made up for the crazy cold eating. I’ll think twice before doing this again, but it was wonderful to spend a few more hours with Sonora!
