I had some vacation days to burn or I would loose them. Danelle wasn’t available, so I called JoJo. She was available and we prepared for an adventure. We decided to paddle from Route 66 state park back to Greentree park where we normally paddle from.
Just upstream from Sherman Beach access, there is a sunken barge.
Today seemed like a great day to check it out.
Its nice having a dry suit on as it makes it safe to be in the water.
We both ended up on top walking carefully and ended up in the pilot house.
Its nice to not be in a hurry. I saw a staircase from the river and we pulled over to check it out. It even has a name!
I’m glad I was able to use a vacation day doing something I enjoy.
