Our last state of this weekend trip. The city of Little Rock, Arkansas is bordered to the north by the Arkansas river. They have done a fantastic job making the riverfront accessible and cross-able by pedestrians to north Little Rock. Our plan was to ride along the river and visit each side checking out what was available. Again, having Danelle around made it easy to take off on one end and explore a bunch without having to double back. You might call me a bit of a liar when you see the map of where we went below, but I promise we did our best to not retrace our steps and see all that we could.
Below, we’re recording our pre-ride video. I’m using my arm as a selfie stick to get our perspective. I must have said something funny cause it looks like Corvin is trying not to laugh.
And we’re finally off riding our adventure! The path didn’t go super far this way before we had to turn around and come back.
This looks like balance art, so we made it better!
This tree was on the north side of the river.
Corvin wasn’t amused when I asked him what the name of the trail was.
This was a cool area near the river.
What is this guy doing with a unicycle?
These birds were not moving for anybody. We got up close for a photo, then left them alone.
The end of the ride, we did a loop around a wetlands.
While circling, I noticed a turtle that was trying to get back into the water, but couldn’t get between the railing and floor to get to the water. It didn’t look healthy due to being there and confused for a long time.
After circling the whole path where we met Danelle, Corvin hung out in the shade and Danelle and I walked back around to the turtle. She was surprised that she didn’t see it the first time she walked around. She picked it up and placed it near the water. That was one super happy turtle getting back to the water!
