I’m fortunate that my employer gives us federal holidays off. Today is Indigenous People’s Day. I felt that the only way to celebrate was to be close to the land. I packed my Landick 2 on the car and headed to the Dalbow ramp on the Mississippi. Its a nearly 10 mile loop around the island.
I spent some time on a sandbar on the Illinois side taking in the peace of the river and enjoying nature.
