I heard about the Bacon Fest STL and decided that I would visit. It was held in Kiener Plaza in downtown St. Louis. I’m not sure what I expected, but it was a bunch of food vendors selling bacon type foods. Every food vendors had a huge line that we were not about to wait for. Of course most people were there for the 50 foot 500 pound “hog log” that was wrapped in bacon. It was brought in in 1 piece and cooked on a custom welded bbq grill for all to see.
While the idea of the fest was great, the event was a bit of a let down. But at least I can say I was there!
