I convinced Sonora to come out with me to the Sunset Race tonight. She wasn’t feeling super great for paddling. I told her to just sit up front and only paddle when she wanted to, we were there to have fun and hang out. It didn’t take long before she was laughing in the front of the boat.
Rather than worry about paddling up, we decided to stop at one of the natural springs that shows up after rain. There we played until the others started coming back.
While we didn’t get the “normal” amount of paddling in, we had a fantastic time together enjoying the river. I’m happy I was able to spend this time with Sonora!
