Working downtown, I can see the new I-70 bridge in St. Louis from my office. I decided it wasn’t too far from the office and walked to it over lunch. I’ll admit it was a brisk walk to get there and back in an hour, but it works! If you need a scale of how big the river is, here’s a close up shot of some rock drilled out of the river bed for the supports.
It probably doesn’t look like much from the photos, but it is amazing to see.
