Christmas in KC – 12/24/2017

We made it to Kansas City to have Christmas with my parents. When we got there, my mom was in the middle of painting the hallway. She had much of it taped, but other stuff got in the way. I knew it wouldn’t get done before Christmas, so Danelle and I stepped up. We finished taping and painting in just a few hours. We enjoy working together and accomplishing stuff!

After the painting, my handyman skills didn’t go unnoticed. I was quickly enlisted by dad to help with some LED light fixtures. They did quite a number brightening up the hallways!

Mom is always telling stories to me about the crazy dogs and their antics. Today I got to see this in action. Daisy jumped up on the tall table outside to get a better view of the yard.

I got my parents to pose for a selfie after dinner.

Keep your family close and a box of cookies closer!

I brought my 36″ unicycle to town. I tried to go for an early morning ride, but was stopped by patches of ice on the ground. Eventually I got a short ride in the neighborhood, which is better than nothing.

And of course, the best part of Christmas, burning the wrapping paper in the fireplace!
