Many paddlers have more than one boat. Each one does something different and typically excels at one facet of paddling. In my case, I just purchased my third boat, a Hobie Adventure peddle powered kayak. Seeing as I already had two boats hanging from the ceiling, I figured it was time to do something different with this boat as I was out of hanging room. Instead, I build a rack to store the boat on. The advantage of having the rack off the ground is that its nearly the height I need to get it on and off of my van. This worked out perfectly!
A quick coat of Polyurethane will keep it from rotting and help it slide smoothly.
