We sent the kids to KC to stay with their grandparents. This gave Danelle and I some rest while the kids got to be spoiled by grandma and grandpa for a week. A win win in everybody’s book.
They got to go out to wherever they wanted to eat, Subway
Playing with large rabbits and miniature golf
Went to the “ball museum”
Roller skating for hours!
Most importantly of all, I missed them so much. I was ready to have both of them back home with us! On the phone with Sonora one night, we went back and forth saying “Buh Bye” to each other for about 10 minutes before Sonora finally hung up on me.
At the end of the week, we were to drive to Columbia, Mo and meet them half way to pick them up. I was determined that nothing would stop me. Turns out that the snowstorm did just that. I was willing to drive all the way to KC just to be with them, but ultimately they took the train with Grandma to St. Louis on Sunday.
