I rode around the top of the arch for a bit and helped some tourists with a photo. It wasn’t long till I was riding back to where I started to continue on the MRT. One of the most fantastic things about the trail is all of the industry there. Today, I got to view the very top of a mobile crane that had not been lifted yet. Two things interested me. First the mini weather station and second that the wheels on top were made of plastic!
Back on the trail, I had to stop again when I came across the Grossman Iron and Steel plant. I’ve often seen their trucks around the city, but never knew what happened to the junk they haul.
These trucks go to the plant where they crush the metal and turn it into something else. I’m not sure what, but it was awesome to watch!
I ended up near some military stuff and found this sign most entertaining!
Nothing like being protected by an “ALARM SYSTEM”. I’m not one to break into stuff, but this is one sign that wouldn’t deter me!
I find it important to not just ride but to experience things as I go along. This trip was a complete success. I ended up going just over 18 miles!
