Sonora had been begging us to take her ice skating for quite a while. I decided it was finally time to do something about it. I took her out to St. Louis’ outdoor rink, Steinberg skating rink in Forrest Park. Neither of us had been there before. It was easy to find and the facilities were nice. The only drawback was that it was almost 50 degrees outside. This meant that the ice was melting on the top. There were large pools of water on top of the ice and you could spot anybody that fell by the wet marks on their clothes. A few people left early cause they got cold once they fell down.
Lucky for me, I skated conservatively and helped Sonora stay upright. And even better, she was satisfied after skating!
