Christmas Bridge – 12/25/2012

My father in law is fascinated with bridges. He can spend hours in Google Earth searching for them. I could think of no better gift to give him on Christmas day, than to take him to see the new I-70 bridge being built in St. Louis. I picked him up in the afternoon and we headed downtown. We parked in a Great Rivers Greenway lot and walked their path up to the bridge.

I knew that this trip meant something special to Henry because he loathes the cold and it was a cold day! We both had multiple layers on including coats and were just warm enough.

We walked the path to an abandoned building and took pictures. Henry even broke out the binoculars to see more.

After looking at the bridge, we warmed up in the van and drove down to look at the graffiti wall. This Christmas gift of time was one of the best this year!
